Have a drink, plant some trees!

At Setovilla, we want children to grow up in a world full of kindness and opportunities. But opportunities are not only generated by a decent education, they are generated by our surroundings too. Climate change is one of the key factors preventing many children in the global south from attending school. Research carried out by the National Academy of Sciences, has concluded that extreme climate changes in the tropics could make it more difficult for many children to attain a secondary school education and will impose “new barriers on children’s learning” in the years to come.

The UN has listed Climate Action as an integral part of their Sustainable Development Goals and we are committed to this particular goal as a way of negating humanitarian disasters and improving education in the global south.
It is a well known fact that the poorest nations on earth are often the worst effected by climate change, and with the children of these countries already having limited access to education and educational resources, the additional pressures caused by climate change are a worrying prospect.
b
So that is why we, here at Setovilla, are dedicated to offsetting our carbon footprint as much as possible. We want to help children gain better access to education and realise that this can only be done by improving education standards and reducing the effects of climate change.

When starting Setovilla, we made sustainability an imperative part of our mantra and became committed to researching the best ways to be more green. Our bottling and packing process ensures that we only use recyclable materials. From cap to bottle to label, our customers can recycle or reuse their glass  ọkọ̀ bottles, meaning less plastic waste. You can even check out our handy  ọkọ̀ upcycling tips which we post on social media to inspire our customers to reuse, reduce and recycle!

From bottling plants to actual plants!

But our sustainability ethos goes further than our bottling plant! We have also partnered with More Trees to help offset any carbon emissions we do produce, helping to make the world a cleaner, greener space. By donating money to More Trees, Setovilla is contributing to a greater absorption of carbon from the atmosphere, wildlife protection and an improved crop yield. This is a partnership that is close to all of our hearts, and we are grateful to all our ọkọ̀ customers for helping us do this!
